About
Wescor was founded in 2009. We are a family-owned business that is based in Gympie, Southeast QLD.
Wescor started out as a grid-connect solar system business and in 2017, branched out and became accredited as an off-grid battery installer.
We began installing lithium-ion battery systems for the domestic market. After installing the first couple of battery systems, we soon concluded a better approach was needed to reduce time spent on-site, keep the equipment safe, out of the weather, away from insects and geckos and lockable for security reasons etc.Â
We searched the market for suitable products to achieve our goal and realised there was nothing suiting our requirements. In mid-2017, we decided we would design and construct these cabinets for our own use and began installing them on our own projects soon after. The response from our customers was very positive.
Over time, our cabinets began getting noticed by other installers. We realised that installers all over Australia would be facing the same installation issues as we did, so we offered the cabinets for sale to the broader market. Our own designs along with customer requests have led us to now to offer an extensive range of cabinets suiting a wide range of batteries and inverters with different cabinet models suiting the climatic conditions found all around the country from corrosive coastal environments, the cold conditions of Tasmania to the hot, harsh outback and Pilbara in WA.
We now sell our cabinets all around Australia and New Zealand through our NZ partner Independent Power NZ.
We are also proud to announce our newest distributor Artek Energy who is based in Portland Oregan, USA.
